Farewell Chickens

In preparing to put our house on the market, we figured it was time to find our chickens a new home. We were able to find a family who was excited to welcome our hens and their roost. It was an emotional farewell from the children. It was sad to see them so sad about giving their chickens away. They've already started a jar saving up their money to buy more farm animals once we move. Hope we're zoned for that wherever we end up. =) Ethan is really going to miss these gals. They were one of his favorite things to watch and communicate with. Here he's giving them a few last clucks probably telling them how great their next home is going to be and how excited the other little boy is to have chickens.

Here's the kids emotional farewell with everything loaded up ready to take it to a new home. It's been a fun adventure with the chickens, and I'm sure it's not the last time we'll have chickens. Goodbye Ginger, Goldie, & Penny.

I saw the post on Michelle's blog and figured her new charges must have come from you!
