Here is JoJo curled up in her doggy bed, tucked in by the children, of course. Most families wouldn't probably have a party for their pet's birthday, but my kids will take ANY opportunity to have a party. Tonight it was our turn for our babysitting swap, and it also was JoJo's 1st birthday. The kids were more than happy to turn this evening into a puppy party.They began by decorating the table with paw prints, doggy bones, and woof messages.
Some of the comments were pretty funny.
Alizah loves JoJo's bed and has no problem removing JoJo from her bed, climbing in, covering herself with the blanket and surrounding herself with JoJo's toys. This girl cracks me up.
The boys getting "registered" with their doggy tags (candy necklaces with a paper bone tag).
Everyone had to get scanned and pay a fee to get tagged and licensed. You can see our cashier took her job seriously.
Then they had a visit to the vet, to make sure they were healthy dogs.
They went through obedience training, complete with puppy treats (scooby doo bone treats).
A doggy party wouldn't be complete without a bone shaped cake.
A doggy party requires eating dinner without utensils. Of course, we had to serve hot dogs for this occasion.
It was a fun party even if JoJo was oblivious as to what all the hype was about.

Looks like the kids had lots of fun! You'll have to tell JoJo about the party rule- you only get parties when you turn 1, 5, 8, 12, & 16! My girls had an incredible time! Thanks for having a birthday JoJo!
