The chickens have been getting out into the side yard a lot lately. In there defense we did only have a little 2 foot fence up. They usually are just as surprised as we are that they end up over the fence. Sometimes they're just flapping their wings to stretch and then get startled and give a little jump and *whoop* over the fence they land. I've now put up a taller fence and clipped one wing on each bird (to throw them off balance).
We shouldn't have any more issues now. Thanks to Jon for holding the chickens and to Shaylin for her awesome camera skillzzz. Even Ethan was a trooper for hanging out in the swing (covered with an umbrella to stay dry) while I built the fence (yes in the rain)!"Mrs. Tweedy, the chickens are organizin!"
