Hailey's Field Trip

Hailey's Kindergarten class took a field trip to the zoo. They wait until June to have this field trip so that the weather will be nice and sunny. Well, with the incredibly wet spring we've been having it was a field trip to remember and it was anything but sunny. It would have been one thing if it was a little spring rain, but it was the heavy drenching downpour kind of rain all---day---long! Hailey was thrilled that I was coming as one of the chaperons. I felt like a momma duck trying to keep the kids that were in my group covered and dry under my umbrella. It was definitely a memory maker of a day.

She also snapped this picture of me riding next to her.

Feeding time for the zebras.

Looks like pride rock, huh?

Keeping the kids somewhat warm and dry in the penguin exhibit.
It's sure smells in there, but I don't think any of us cared as we warmed up a bit.

What would a trip to the zoo be without riding the wooden horse?
Thanks for the fun field trip Hailey.
We will definitely be remembering this one for a while.
