Shaylin (#25 on the left) has had a great season of soccer.
It's been so fun to see these girls play so competitively.
Shaylin has typically played the position of a forward, but this year her coach let her try goalie, and you know what? She's a really good goalie! I'm not surprised as her father is amazing on the field AND as a goalie. It's in her blood. =) She's been able to enjoy a little bit of both worlds this season. She's been playing one half of the game as goalie and the other half on the field.

Celebrating a blocked shot.In one particular game she had such an amazing save that the other team's coach came and congratulated her on it after the game. It was one of those lunge sideways, go into a partial split, stretch out her foot and block the shot with her foot kind of saves. It was really awesome to see. Her G'pa and G'ma Carroll happened to be there. Grandpa had already baited her with $1 for every save she made. After this particular save she yelled over to him, "that was a $5 save!" Indeed it was Shaylin! Great job sweetie.
