Newport Beach

We enjoyed a nice weekend at Newport Beach. We all enjoyed exploring the beach at low tide. Here are a few pics of our adventures.
Exploring the tide pools.

Found a starfish. . .

and a sea anemone.

Watched the sea lions sunning themselves.

This was one of the kids favorite sea lions, which of course they named Dalmation.

The kids loved seeing how close they could get to the crashing waves, without getting too wet.

Found this cool fort and played pirates for a while.
The kids found us some dinner. (Ha ha)

We hiked into Devil's Punchbowl at low tide.

At high tide all of these rocks are covered and this cavity is filled with water.

It was a fun little vacation.

Fun times! Makes me wish we had explored Newport while we were there. My only experience there was the marathon, way back in the day....

How beautiful! No wonder why you love living where you do.
