Zachary had a fun time making his pinewood derby. He started by drawing on a piece of paper what shape he wanted the car to be. Then he and Dad drew it on the wood and cut it out. It was so exciting for him to see his plan turn into a real little car. He was very happy with the results.

Here is Zachary with his car that he named the Bone-Mobile. It was designed with Zelda in mind (of course) being green and with swords painted on the sides. He chose the number 160, not sure the significance there, and he added a little Lego skeleton driver guy and insisted the little guy's arms were up, as if going on a roller coaster ride.

Here he is setting it on the track, ready to race. He won a few and lost a few. I'm not sure what place he placed overall, but it was definitely a fun experience.

This race was his favorite because it was against his buddy Logan. They were so excited to race each other. As you can see from the picture, his buddy barely beat him. It was a close race! They didn't seem to care who won, they were just excited to race each other.

It was an entertaining evening, and I know we have a couple more derby's ahead of us. It will be fun to see what design he comes up with next time.

Excited to race each other is an understatement. I don't think they cared or even remember who won they just loved racing together. It was a fun night for them. Thanks for posting about it.
