What would a visit from my parents be like without a project to complete? We sure do appreciate my dad's help with projects when he comes. This time, the project was building a shelf in the empty upper dead space of our staircase.
Securing the supports into the metal wall plates and the studs. Placing supporting beams across.
Placing thick plywood across the support beams.
Storing food storage there.
This is all you see from the underside, and only when you're right under it. There's another 2 feet that goes beyond the wall to the right where there was a little window cubby. I just need to paint the bottom side now to blend it in.
