Zoo Trip

The kids had the day off school and we actually had pretty good weather so we headed to the zoo. Hailey was with some friends and missed the zoo experience with us this trip.
We got to see the cute baby elephant Samudra. He is a cute little elephant.
We also got to watch them preparing for the birds of prey show and watched them train the birds to fly to their perches. Here Zachary and Shaylin were waiting for one of the birds to be given the signal.

The kids love the elephants and kept going back to them.
They are pretty fascinating creatures.

Ethan finally got to see a real-live "oo-oo" (monkey). He was mesmerized watching this monkey. He was so enthralled he didn't even do his usual point and "oo-oo" up at the monkey, just stared.
